Word expected on GOCO grant Dec. 11

The North Fork Pool, Park & Recreation District grant application with Great Outdoors Colorado to rebuild the aging courts made the first cut, with winners to be announced this month. The Town of Paonia, which owns the property and leases it to the district, has agreed to maintain ownership of the courts for the next 25 years as required by GOCO.The area's many tennis enthusiasts may soon have something to celebrate. The Paonia board of trustees announced at its Nov. 27 meeting that Great Outdoors Colorado (GOCO) grant application by the North Fork Pool, Park & Recreation District to rebuild the Apple Valley tennis courts has cleared the first round of applications.

Creamery is connecting with seniors through art

The Creamery Art Center in Hotchkiss is reaching out to senior citizens through a new program headed up by Rita Clagett.

The Senior Outreach Program is engaging seniors in Delta County in several different ways thanks to the efforts and generosity of the Creamery's artist volunteers.
