Concerns emerge as council reviews renovation punch list

Work funded by an ADA grant and with in-kind donations from Delta County will add ADA ramps, handrails and van-accessible parking for both the upper and lower parking lots at Crawford Town Hall.

Phase I of the renovation of Crawford Town Hall was to be completed by Sept. 1. It's over due by a month.

Lightning fires quickly contained

Hotchkiss firefighter Nathan Kroschel is shown working on the Chaining Fire which is located on BLM land about four miles north of Hotchkiss. Both the Chaining Fire and the one on Oak Mesa are contained.

Two fires north of Hotchkiss were contained Saturday by the Montrose Interagency Fire Management Unit (MIFMU). The Oak Mesa Fire and the Chaining Fire were both started by lightning strikes.
