Fund will purchase headstones for murdered children and father

These children were killed by their father on Oct. 27, 1912. Glenn, Vera and Verna (left to right) and their father Carl G. Fox were discovered by Mrs. Fox when she returned to their home. Mr. Fox was known for having mental problems. The father and his children are buried at Cedar Hill Cemetery in graves marked unknown. Funds are being raised to purchase headstones.
The Thursday, Oct. 31, 1912, edition of The Paonian carried a shocking headline, "Triple Murder And Suicide." The newspaper called it "one of the most shocking crimes in the history of the state" and "The blackest page in the criminal history of Delta County."

Humane Society hires private investigator

The Delta County Humane Society has employed Greg Turner since April 23 as chief investigator for their animal cruelty division and animal rescue. Turner is a private investigator located in Delta.
