The North Fork Pool, the only outdoor public pool in Delta County, opens for another season May 27th at 1 p.m. The pool is located in Hotchkiss near the Hotchkiss High School.

Citizens for a Healthy Community (CHC) has filed an appeal with the U.S. Forest Service on May 2 over the agency's decision to approve a drilling proposal for a site located in critical wildlife habitat in the Gunnison National Forest.

Last summer, SG Interests applied for a permit to drill up to five gas wells in the National Forest, near County Road 265.
