At regional field competition in Grand Junction last Thursday, Delta High School narrowly edged out Bayfield High School to capture first place in the Class 2A competition. "The band really stepped up and played one of the best shows of the season. The heart and passion that our students have for music was really apparent in that performance," said band director 
Andrew Bruington. As the marching season winds down, state competition at CSU-Pueblo is the next stop for the Panthers. "We are looking forward to competing at the state level and are working hard to have the best performance of the season on Monday," Bruington said. "The students have been working extremely hard and have put in many hours to make the show as successful as it is."
