CHS senior has student honor

Skylar SmithSkylar Smith, a senior at Cedaredge High School, has been named Orchard City's student of the month for November.

In making the presentaion at the Orchard City Town Board's Nov. 14 meeting, Mayor Don Suppes noted that Skylar is a participant in varsity sports, was a member of the state championship marching band, has particiapted in theatrical productions at the school, and is a member of National Honor Society.

She says she plans to attend CSU to study psychology and counsel adolescents and women.

She is the daughter of Shannon West of Austin and Monty Smith of Blanca.
