For the month of November, DMS staff would like to recognize three deserving students.
Mrs. Salcedo recognizes Joe Bules as an exceptionally positive sixth grade student.
She says, "Joe is extremely focused and works hard to get his work done, asks questions that benefit all students, models positive behaviors, and is very creative. He demonstrates the ability to make difficult but appropriate decisions. Additionally, Joe is very enthusiastic, and always contributes to class in ways that clearly enhance lessons, as well as always lightening the mood! What a great addition to Delta Middle School."
This month's seventh grade student is Anha Richards selected by Mrs. Charlesworth. Anha is one-of-a-kind. Her contributions to Delta Middle School and our surrounding community are countless. At school Anha's involvement includes many organizations such as College for Every Student, Student Council, gifted-talented and National Junior Honor Society. Her athletic abilities include Presidential Fitness Award and cross-country. She is a volunteer for several organizations and at her church. A talented musician, Anha plays piano, violin and saxophone. In the classroom, Anha excels at her academics and is always respectful. Anha Richards is indeed a one-of-a-kind!
Phillip Santonastaso, nominated by Mr. Carlquist, is an eighth grader at DMS. He is one of the hardest working students he knows with great work ethics. He "stepped outside of his box" and played football this year. Phillip is respectful, hard working and courageous. Teachers express what a pleasure it is to have him in class and know him as a special individual. He definitely stands out as one of Delta Middle School's top students.
