CHS senior is honored by Orchard City council

Danica FlemmingOrchard City's student of the month for December is Danica Flemming.

Danica is a senior at Cedaredge High School.

She has a long list of academic achievements to her credit listed in part by Mayor Don Suppes as he presented the award at the town board's Dec. 12 meeting.

Danica is taking college-level courses through Colorado Mesa University. She has been on the school honor roll and has earned an academic letter. Danica has been awarded academic medals for her achievements in algebra, English, and science.

She earned second place in the VFW Voice of Democracy writing contest and has been a student of the month at the school.

Danica is the daughter of Daniel and Cleone Flemming of Austin.
