On Nov. 14, the third through sixth grade students from Paonia Elementary competed in the national Noetic Learning Math Contest. This year, over 18,000 students from 42 states and 366 schools around the country participated. Paonia Elementary had two students, Logan Green in sixth grade and Allison Godwin in fifth grade, who made the National Honor Roll for scores in the top 10 percent and 14 others who received National Honorable Mention. Pictured are the students who were recognized for their performance. The National Honor Roll students received medals, as did students who had the highest grade level “team” score in the school.The two students from fourth grade tied for high score, but missed National Honorable Mention by only one question.
