Cedaredge Rotary presents six scholarships

At right is Richard Udd, Cedaredge Rotary Club.The Cedaredge Rotary Club awarded $6,500 in scholarships to graduating seniors from Cedaredge High School and Surface Creek Vision School at the Cedaredge High School awards dinner held on May 14.

These scholarships were awarded in memory of Max Kendrick who founded the scholarship program for the Cedaredge Rotary Club. Max's wife, Betty, was on hand to present the awards.

Three Cedaredge graduates are chosen for scholarships

This year, one of the $10,000 awards will be shared equally by twin sisters Skylar and Jordan Smith.

DMTC hosts all-school graduation ceremony

DCV scholarship

c02 dsvPhoto Submitted DCV scholarship At the recent Cedaredge High School scholarship dinner, Jessica Chevalier was presented with a $1,000 scholarship by Karen Locke on behalf of the Deer Creek Villages Homeowners Association. It is an annual award given to a deserving student who applies and plans to pursue continuing education. Jessica plans to major in art and minor in business at Colorado Mesa University.

Nursing students graduate

a06 nursingDelta-Montrose Technical College (DMTC) graduated 29 practical nursing students at the Delta Center for Performing Arts and Education. Graduation marks the completion of rigorous study and clinical responsibility.

The May 17 graduation ceremony opened with graduating student Colleen Thliveris and a friend, Wendy Bodwell, singing "God Bless America."
