Delta Middle School had two Destination Imagination teams this year. Gone Squatchin’ (pictured above) included Lucy Streich, Logan Freed, Meysa Mulford, Matthew Easter, Hannah Branson, Lizzy Ward and Makyla Miramontes. Sierra Nelson, Caleb Miramontes, Thomas Niel, Kaleb Hawkins, Nathan Sanders and Sheali King were members of Let’s Twist. The Destination Imagination program encourages teams of learners to have fun, take risks, focus and frame challenges while incorporating STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics), the arts and service learning. Delta teens to meet justice

Ayasha and Alysha Richards, the twin daughters of Ken and Doris Richards, have been invited to a special student event with U.S. Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor.

On May 2, students in the eighth, ninth and 10th grades from across Colorado will have the opportunity to hear Sotomayor speak and ask her questions at the new Ralph L. Carr Colorado Judicial Center in Denver.

School library is a hub of learning activity

Hunsicker and provides a bright, airy environment for young students to study, read and work on computers.The Cedaredge Elementary School Library at our new school is dedicated to James A. State increases school funding

An anticipated increase of $219 in per-pupil funding from the state will inject about $1.2 million into Delta County Joint School District #50, preliminary figures show. The budget projection is based on flat enrollment figures across the county.
