Every day is Earth Day

Two days after the official Earth Day, the Paonia Lions Club and Paonia Elementary sixth grade teamed up to clean nearly three miles of highway adjacent to town. After an hour and a half of hard work, everyone was laughing, joking and eating pizza. Photo submitted Sixth grade teacher Robert Bushta was a super good sport as he was slimed green in honor of Earth Day.On Friday, April 5, Paonia Elementary School held its annual fund raiser at the school.

Fun was had by all, thanks to the awesome community support the school receives and especially because of the wonderful and creative Paonia Parent Organizational committee.

Photo by Kathy Browning HHS crowns royalty In the setting of New York with its cityscape and Statue of Liberty, Hotchkiss High School held its prom Saturday night. At the conclusion of the Grand March, the prom royalty was introduced. They are King Dustin Head and Queen Hanne Van Orshoven, who is a foreign exchange student from Belgium. Tanner Bizer and Jennifer Celis were prom prince and princess.
