Blue Ribbon Award formally presented in Washington, D.C.

Gloria Munoz, an English language teacher, and Jim Farmer, the principal, represented the school at the ceremonies.

DHS hosts 8 speech teams

The Delta High School speech team hosted eight schools from around the Western Slope in the annual Delta Invitational Speech Meet. Several members of the Delta team turned in terrific performances.

School superintendent offered contract extension

a03 gibsonCaryn GibsonA year that began in turmoil for Delta County Joint School District #50 is quietly coming to a close with the announcement that a contract extension will be offered to interim superintendent Caryn Gibson.

When the year started, Gibson was the school district's personnel director.
