Autumn colors and themes will decorate the walls of the Creamery Art Center in Hotchkiss during September with two special shows. Cynthia Underwood will display her delicious pastels in the Peach Gallery, and Delta Fine Arts will display member works in diverse media in the Churro Gallery upstairs.

The Paradise Theatre presents the second annual District 81428 Fashion and Design Show: The Call of the Styled during the Mountain Harvest Festival, Friday, Sept. 24.
Clothing and accessories will be available throughout the Mountain Harvest Festival weekend at the District 81428 Fashion and Design booth in Paonia Town Park.

On Sept. 1, the Hotchkiss Lions Club delivered new instruments to the Hotchkiss K-8 school band program. The kids tagged all the new instruments, carried them into the school and are excited to get started on their music program for this year.

This 1952 Allard visited Paonia last year during the Colorado Grand. This year’s lunch stop will be at the fairgrounds in Hotchkiss Monday, Sept. 13, between noon and 1:30. The public is welcome to come meet the drivers and have lunch.
The Colorado Grand celebrates its 22nd year with a lunch stop in Hotchkiss on Monday, Sept. 13. Hotchkiss has hosted a lunch for the Colorado Grand road racers on their multi-day jaunt around Colorado for 16 of the past 22 years.

Cathedral Peak Ranch Landowners Association is appealing an action in the Record of Decision for Gunnison National Forest Travel Management. Robin Laurin, Cathedral Peak Ranch secretary/treasurer, representing 114 landowners, had filed an appeal within 45 days of the release of the Record of Decision (ROD).
