More help for President Obama's reelection

More Help For President Obama's Reelection

- Clear The Issue -

Dear President Obama,

Congress has been especially tough on you this week by subpoenaing your communications regarding the Solyndra $535 million dollar loss we taxpayers have just taken.  This Solyndra thing is starting to grow legs and I'm afraid continued media coverage could be harmful to you on your current election campaign.

At first I thought it might help you to claim "Executive Privilege" and refuse to give to congress the communication between you, your administration and the owners and financiers of, now bankrupt, Solyndra.  I did a little research and read the 1974 Supreme Court ruling regarding Executive Privilege involving then President Richard Nixon and his proposed claim of Executive Privilege for the tapes he had regarding his discussions of the Watergate Scandal.  After reading the ruling, I realize that you do not have the legal right to claim Executive Privilege and you, who during your last campaign, presented yourself to us as a constitutional scholar and constitutional law professor, probably already know this.  When President Nixon attempted to not release communication requested by congress, he lost the Supreme Court challenge and it didn't turn out very good for him.  He was forced to resign from the office of United States President because of his attempt to hide the truth from us, The American Citizens.  I sure don't want you to jeopardize your campaign right now so I am offering you what I know is a good solution for you regarding Solyndra.

As a self-declared Progressive you ask us to believe in you for hope and change for our future.  My suggestion is that you immediately turn over all communication you and your administration have had with any and all parties involved in Solyndra.  This will force your opponents to drop this story once it is shown that you and your administration made decisions with the sole intent of doing the best for us and, with integrity, protecting the use of our tax dollars.  Once it is shown that you had no self-interest in this whole Solyndra thing, you will have shown that these opponents of yours are not seeking the truth and are, in fact, just out to "get you".

Don't worry, I'll keep an eye out during your campaign during this next week.  Remember, if you want me to give you any of my thoughts in advance of this newspaper column, have your staff contact me at the email address below.

" They do, however, believe in Progressive Evolution and in so doing attempt to steal the truth from you.  In the world of a Progressive, heroes become the bad guys, and bad guys become victims or heroes.  For the Progressive, it is only natural for a leader to act as if they have been victimized by those who disagree with them, and then expect for society to feel sorry for them because they are not being treated fairly."
