Progress in America

Progress In America

Welcome to "Progress In America."  This is a column dedicated to a common sense look at Modern American Progressivism.

Have you looked around lately and ask yourself, "Why do things seem backwards"?  The answer is, "Because they are backwards."  Common sense is being assassinated by Modern American Progressivism.

In our society today it is practically impossible to read a newspaper, watch news on television, listen to a political speech or talk with your neighbors without the word “progressive” being heard.  Progressive Democrat, Progressive Republican, Progressive Environmentalist, Progressive Christian Church, Progressive Economics, Progressive Socialism, Progressive Society and  “Progressive __________."  Who are Modern American Progressives, where did they come from and what do they stand for?  This column will provide you with a clear, common sense understanding of the Progressive Movement in The United States of America today.

This column is not your source for local, national or international news, although many times current events are addressed to provide examples of Modern Progressivism.  I am writing this column to provide you with a place to learn about Progressivism, recognize the methods used and outcomes of Progressive agendas in your day-to-day world.

Progressives are attempting to redefine the meaning of "The American Dream".

Progressives are attempting to redefine the meaning of "The American Christian Community".

Progressives are attempting to redefine the meaning of the words, "Academic Excellence" in our schools.

If you think everything in our country is "just fine" then this column is not for you.  If you believe that, although we have some problems, our country is still the greatest place on earth that offers the opportunity for personal freedom and opportunity then this column is for you.

Our Founding Fathers believed the strength, growth and prosperity of our country would be constructed with building blocks formed by discussions of disagreement between individuals who possessed integrity.  What can you learn from someone who knows exactly what you know and believes exactly what you believe?

My life has been enhanced greatly through discussions with family and friends with whom I have and continue to disagree.  Through honest disagreement, truth has been brought to light, and I have changed my mind on some issues and become more solidly grounded on others.

As time goes by, you will find that your participation and interaction with this column will not always be one of agreement.  Through our disagreements, I trust that we will all learn new things.
