Legislators pass paycheck fairness for corrections workers

After years of frustration, the Colorado Legislature has finally done right by our corrections officers and fixed what's known as the "28-day work period" by passing SB 210. This fix means paycheck fairness and accountability for thousands of corrections officers in communities on the Western Slope and across the state.
We should ask ourselves every day what we can do to make a positive change in the world. This doesn't mean that we have to do something earth-shattering or radical every day, but we should do what we can, remembering that more is expected of those to whom much is given.
