Thanks to Nora O’Brien for speaking out

Dear Editor:

I offer my support to Nora O'Brien for having the courage to speak out about the current school board actions. She gives voice to the thoughts of those who share her concern but remain silent for fear of retribution.

Also, I feel it is necessary to point out that the problems with the board are not new. I had the opportunity to witness efforts by this body to tear the soul out of the Vision program and bring it to its current state. I have heard rumors that there are efforts to create a North Fork school district. There is potential in this idea. I urge those who share Nora's concern to add their energy to hers. Thank you Nora.
