A Christmas story

Dear Editor:

Even though I was born at the Hotchkiss Hospital and grew up in Paonia, I have since lived in East Texas and have worked on projects in Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana and Mississippi. Therefore, this holiday season always reminds me of the story of the Oklahoma youngster who showed up at the Christmas pageant dressed as a wiseman with a fireman's hat.

The minister asked him, "Why the hat?" He replied, "Because the Bible says that when, three wisemen came from afar."
