A community united can accomplish great things
Dear Editor:
Our family would like to offer a note of thanks to our neighbors, the community of Crawford and beyond, the many people that offered their insight and professional expertise, and the Delta County Commissioners for their diligence and attention to the facts regarding the M&L Mining proposal for a gravel pit approximately 3⁄4 mile west of the town of Crawford. The research done, the information compiled, and the genuine concern for the health, welfare and rights of everyone was overwhelming and inspiring, proving that the power of the people and the political process working together are a remarkable thing.
We live in a pristine setting in western Colorado. We all have chosen to be here for a variety of reasons, and the very fact that the diversity of our community can join hands in a unified goal of maintaining, preserving and protecting that natural beauty and lifestyle while dealing with the inevitable changes presenting themselves, with integrity and intelligence, is a great thing.We truly hope that we all may continue to work together and move forward in unity in 2013. Thank you.
