OHVs riders pay their dues

Dear Editor:

This will be my first letter to you or any paper.

There are so many people who have nothing to do but cause a lot of controversy.

It seems that David A. Lien does not like hunters to go into the national forest to hunt deer and elk using ATVs or OHVs. The roads and trails being used were there before he was born, but he wants to complain about the motorized community using them. Well if I was an outfitter, like he probably is, I would not like people using the trails and roads he uses to guide hunters and fishermen into the backcountry.

I have backpacked into the backcountry on foot many years and I did not need a horse or mule to do it. I have never seen a guide or horseman remove logs across trails but I have seen ATV clubs do so without pay, so the horses can use the trail without breaking a leg, so get real!
