Cedaredge: The biggest loser

What is going on here in Cedaredge? Yet another loss of fine physicians and medical staff.
The Grand Mesa Family Practice is closing its doors as of March 31, 2013.
Since moving here 21 years ago, I have changed Cedaredge doctors a dozen times — only twice of my own volition. Having lived in small towns most of my life, I know the situation here in Cedaredge is not a normal one. My present and former physicians were for the most part forced out of business. Most of them still have homes here, yet they end up practicing elsewhere — Delta, Olathe, Grand Junction — to name a few. Maybe it's time this very harmful situation be investigated. Not only are the doctors themselves affected, but their patients, their staff, and the reputation of the town itself.
At this time I'd like to thank the ethical, caring physicians and their staff, past and present, for all they have done for the people of Cedaredge.
