My wife and I moved here to Delta in May 1999 from Buffalo, N.Y. We like it here.
I'd like to relate a situation that happened in May 1999, when we drove to Trinidad. We stopped at a store for refreshments. When we mentioned we were from New York, a woman there told us not to bring New York ways to Colorado. Well, New York ways (I suspect the lady was referring to liberal ways) are here and we didn't bring them. Colorado was a red state in 1999 and look at it now. Marijuana legalized; need I say more? And I read an article that we were touted for being so bold, that we did the state a favor and look at the revenue that'll come in due to the pot smokers. Wow, that's great.
In reply to that woman so long ago, I can only say, we reap what you sow. We can't continue to condone wrong and expect a good result. God bless America.
