I recently bought (leased) a new car from Patrick Hellman at Hellman Chevrolet-Buick on Main Street. It was the quickest, most honest, overall best deal I have ever made, and I have purchased about 15 vehicles in my life.
This experience was by far the best car-buying experience I will probably ever have.
I was not looking forward to having to go out once again car shopping. As most of you know, it can be quite stressful, like the five minutes I spent on my first phone call to a Montrose dealership. The guy they handed me over to was fast and harsh; I felt beat up. He was neither listening nor cared what I wanted or needed. Click, that was enough of that.
I then decided to look local, which I'm not used to doing. I got in a bad habit of running to Montrose or Grand Junction for everything I needed. It was the economy that opened my eyes to buying American made, keeping the money in the U.S. That was what was going to bring our economy back, and I knew it. So this time I called up Hellman Chevrolet-Buick and asked the woman on the phone to give me their nicest guy. She gave me Michael Boyd, who turned out to be her son, lol, and he was great. Then Patrick came into the picture. He was kind, respectful, and listened to exactly what I told him I needed. You know how, when you sit down to make the deal, how it takes all day and by the time you're done, the dealership has upped your payment by almost $100? Well, not so here. Instead, you will find the opposite. My car dealership shopping days are over.
