Grandparents of the couple are Ella Mae Ocker, Sublette, Kan., Francis Casey, McCracken, Kan., and Magdaline Moore, Paramus, N.J. The bride and groom exchanged vows under a golden arch covered in honeysuckle, made by the groom. A string quartet provided the ceremony music. The bride was escorted by her father. She wore a white draped taffeta trumpet dress with pearl straps, a button back and sweep train. Her veil was ribbon-edged with pearls sprinkled throughout. She carried a bouquet of beautiful burnt orange calla lilies, leonidas roses and whimsical red pussy willow branches. The matron of honor was Trina Lutters, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Lauren Smayda, friend of the bride and Rebecca Myrtle, sister of the groom. They wore tea-length burnt orange dresses with black ribbon sashes. They carried leonidas rose bouquets. The best man was Jeremy Myrtle, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Eloy Celis, friend of the groom and Garrett Casey, brother of the bride. They wore black tuxedoes with burnt orange vests. Trinity Lutters, niece of the bride, was the flower girl. She wore a replica of the bride's dress and carried a basket of mixed orange flowers. She was escorted by Dustin Casey, brother of the bride. After the ceremony, a dinner buffet and dance was held at Eberly Farm. The wedding cake was round with five tiers, frosted with butter cream frosting and carefully wrapped with burnt orange ribbon. The couple honeymooned in Negril, Jamaica, and are now residing in Wichita, Kan. The bride is employed by the Wichita Business Journal as the marketing director/designer. The bridegroom is employed by Professional Engineering Consultants as a structural engineer intern.
