Ken Volgamore has been appointed to serve on the Orchard City Town Board. He has stepped into a two-year term that will expire in April 2014.
Volgamore is a private contractor.
He ran for town trustee in last April's municipal election.
He lives with his wife in town, where he located to 15 years ago.
During a brief interview with town trustees prior to the Oct. 10 meeting, Volgamore said that he is the son of a Tongue Creek Valley homesteader, so he has roots in the community.
Volgamore is a retired firefighter and is proud of his service on both Delta and Cedaredge departments.
His application for the position was the only one received, said Mayor Don Suppes, and he was unanimously endorsed for the post by the trustees.blog comments powered by Disqus
