Shoppers can get an early start on their Christmas gift shopping, find new items to brighten their own home décor, and stock their freezers with home-baked goodies for holiday eating or gift-giving.
Members of All Saints Lutheran Church (Highway 65, one mile north of the Cory Store) invite the community to their annual Craft and Bake Sale.
The two day event will be held Friday, Nov. 2, from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. and again on Saturday, Nov. 3, from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.
The homemade German noodles offered last year were a big hit. Plans are to prepare even more to sell this year.
Several types of hand-crafted greeting cards will be offered. A list of some of the other items available include: clever eyeglass holders, seatbelt shoulder protectors, wreaths and wreath making kits, wooden planter boxes, mosaic tile trivets, embroidered, knitted, crocheted and quilted items, antique linens, doggie treats, and much more.
"Ready mixes," jams and jellies will be offered along with cakes, pies, breads, and cookies.
Plan to buy lunch while you are shopping. Chicken salad with a croissant, cup of soup, and a beverage will be available. Treat yourself to a "goodie" from the home-baked items for dessert. Lunch will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on both days.
Profits from the event help support local non-profit organizations and special needs of the church.blog comments powered by Disqus
