This week's headlines

Because of a requirement to adopt the 2013 budget document and establish a mil levy prior to its regularly scheduled Dec. 20 meeting, the Cedaredge town board will hold its monthly meeting in December a week early, on Dec. 13.

Several other items of business will be dealt with at the trustees week-early meeting.

They include presentation of a new scheme for sewer and water rates that will be the subject of a public meeting on Jan. 10.

Appointments to the town tree board and discussion of the town's historic preservation board are also on the agenda. Mayor Pat Means has been working to try to revitalize the historic preservation board.
