With fresh snow coating the trees lining the roadway, motorists along Highway 65 on Grand Mesa travel between walls of snow several feet deep. The new snow was a welcome addition for those who like to play on the mesa during the winter. The Colorado Avalanche Information Center was reporting 68.2 inches of snow at Skyway, and 77 inches at Park Reservoir on Sunday, March 4.
