Grant helps Cedaredge scan its documents

The Statewide Internet Portal Authority (SIPA) awarded several of Colorado's governments with a grant, including Cedaredge. The grant is designed to assist in increasing eGovernment services.

The Town of Cedaredge received an award for $2,500 in an effort to scan paper documents and upload them online so that they are visible and accessible to citizens.

"Governments throughout Colorado are innovative, creative, and looking for ways to increase the services and information provided to residents, businesses, and tourists. SIPA is proud to play a role by providing grants to local governments and state agencies that give them the opportunity to address challenges and create opportunities through technology," John D. Conley, SIPA executive director said.

The Statewide Internet Portal Authority was created in 2004 by the Colorado General Assembly as a self-funded, quasi-governmental entity. SIPA's mission is to provide efficient and effective services for citizens and governments through the use of modern business practices and innovative technology solutions. SIPA provides services to almost 200 Colorado governments.
