Crane family
This photo by Ellie Tunget was taken last year of a family unit of sandhill cranes which chose to stay in the Delta area over the summer. The sandhill cranes are passing through Delta County on their spring migration and this weekend’s Crane Days celebrates this annual visit. From talks by naturalist Evelyn Horn and Ken Strom of the Audubon Society, to watching the arrival and departure of the cranes, Crane Days is a fun-filled event for all.
