"Cedaredge's Apple-Fest is fast approaching and I know I am looking forward to the many food, craft and information booths that are on hand every year," says Jim Leser of the Cedaredge Tree Board. "An added bonus is meeting old and new friends as you walk the streets and parks of Cedaredge."
The Cedaredge Tree Board is again sponsoring a garden information booth along with a free drawing for one of three large trees. The booth will be located at the arboretum behind Pioneer Town. Look for the tree board banner when you enter the arboretum from SW 3rd Avenue to view the classic car show. The Surface Creek Valley Historical Society was kind enough to provide the space.
Master Gardeners from the CSU Extension Office in Delta will also be on hand to assist tree board members in helping solve plant problems and answering any gardening questions you might have. Don't forget to bring any plant material that might help diagnose your problem. Any and all gardening questions are fair game. Come by and test our knowledge.
Even if you don't have any garden questions, stop by and enter our free drawing for one of three really nice deciduous trees — pacific sunset maple, baby blue eyes blue spruce and a purple leaf flowering plum. The Garden Center is supporting the raffle by giving the Cedaredge Tree Board a great deal on these trees.
The information booth will be operating only on Saturday, Oct. 5, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Come join in the fun and festivities of AppleFest and learn something about gardening you didn't know in order to solve a problem. Also try for one of our free trees.blog comments powered by Disqus
