It was a style show just for the fun of it when the Cedaredge United Methodist Women and men modeled clothing gathered direct from their Cedaredge Main Street Thrift Store racks.
The event was held Sept. 30 in the church sanctuary with Midge Hagen announcing the models and describing their stylish outfits.
She also entertained everyone with her high spirited rendition of "I Feel Pretty." Tyler Piersch sang two lovely songs during the program that were enjoyed by all those present. Vernette Mackley, at the piano, provided the accompaniment for the singers and background for the models.
The first models were children from Little Sprouts Community Pre-school proudly wearing outfits chosen especially for each of them from the thrift store. Some adults modeled finds from the store's new Boutique Room where highly regarded name brands can be found at slightly higher prices than in the rest of the store, but are still extremely good bargains. Many of the models wore head-to-toe outfits that included clothing, handbags, shoes, jewelry and even a few hats.
Guest speaker Gaye Taylor spoke of her early life and how those experiences were responsible for changing her life into the woman she is today, full of the love of Christ. A luncheon was served following the program.blog comments powered by Disqus
