The dedicated volunteers who make Friends of Cedaredge Animal Control a valuable asset to the valley have found yet another new way to enjoy life (in addition to taking walks with friendly, appreciative pooches along Surface Creek Trail and loving on other cute little critters).
The volunteers are hosting a fun and original fundraiser this Saturday, Feb. 8, from 4:30 to 7 p.m. at the Stolte Shed.
Appropriately titled "Crockpots for Critters," this event promises a great dinner (tickets just $5), the chance to grab a great deal at the silent auction supported by local businesses, and there will be door prizes, too.
This event is a 100 percent benefit for the Friends, and to support the shelter in Cedaredge for the critters that call it home, for a time, through no fault of their own, animal lovers point out.
The homemade crockpot-luck main course offerings are all being prepared and donated by the FCAC volunteers themselves.
The menu will be the main dish from the savory slow cooker offering of your choice, salad, bread, drink and dessert.
There will be a silent auction thanks to the generous support of area merchants and crafts people including, again, the FCAC volunteers themselves.
Attendees can enter themselves in the drawings for door prizes by making a contribution at the door of: Purina One dry cat or kitten food, Pedigree dry dog food, Tidy Cat litter (non-clumping), or doggie treats.
Tickets are available at the door and from the Shelter Shoppe located just south of Cedaredge Elementary School.
Tickets are $5 for adults, children age five and under eat free. All proceeds to go to the Friends of Cedaredge Animal Control.blog comments powered by Disqus
