To be recognized as a friend among friends by the Friends of Cedaredge Animal Control takes commitment and contribution that is worthy of notice.
Without good friends, there would be no Friends of Cedaredge Animal Control.
Dr. Clark Martin and his staff at Best Friends Animal Hospital at Eckert are such friends among friends of Cedaredge Animal Control, and FCAC has said "thank you."
The doctor and his staff were recognized by FCAC board members Larry and Sue Dumler recently for their work conducting spay and neuter services "at greatly reduced charge" for the animals that FCAC works to adopt to new homes.
The Dumlers estimate that Dr. Martin has performed perhaps a thousand of the procedures that have helped find new homes for pets and that have kept the free-roaming population of domesticated animals under control.
The clinic staff of Dr, Martin, receptionist Jodey Stivers, veterinary assistants Erin Hinchman and Kiffany Tatum, and office manager Sue Martin were presented with a plaque as a token of thanks for the invaluable services and help that FCAC receives from the clinic.
The FCAC organization relies on people like Dr. Martin and his staff. There are many other friends also: friends who volunteer; friends who donate; friends who walk dogs; friends who give food and supplies; friends who serve on the board of directors dealing with finances, reports and other administrative details; friends who help with services and expenses.
All these Friends of Cedaredge Animal Control are also friends of the community and town of Cedaredge because their contributions of time, energy and resources keep the streets of Cedaredge and the roads of Surface Creek Valley healthier and safer places for people to work and live.blog comments powered by Disqus
