Fire destroys home
A fire destroyed a Cedaredge home on Tuesday, Feb. 18. According to Cedaredge Police Chief Dan Sanders, the Cedaredge Volunteer Fire Department responded to the fire around 2 p.m., along with officers from the police department and Officer Jerry Means, an investigator from the Colorado Bureau of Investigation. Marilyn Stumpf submitted the photo to the right which she took while firefighters were battling the blaze at 105 NE Knotty Pine Court north of Cedaredge. Chief Sanders said investigators have determined the cause was accidental. No one was injured battling the blaze. The home is owned by Tom Harrison and rented by Kristine Attarian, who was out of town on vacation when the fire occurred, according to Chief Sanders.
