Under bright blue skies, 80 golfers turned out for the first annual John Brewer Memorial Golf Tournament at the Cedaredge Golf Club. Before hitting the links, local pro Larry Murphy offered final instructions and tips to the players. The event raised more than $700 for Hospice and Palliative Care of Western Colorado in memory of one of the course’s long-time supporters.
On Saturday, March 31, 80 golf enthusiasts took part in the first annual John Brewer Memorial Golf Tournament, a four-person scramble to honor John Brewer who passed away in February of this year.
Cedaredge Golf Club golf pro Larry Murphy told those taking part in the tournament that proceeds raised by the event, via donations, will go to benefit Hospice and Palliative Care of Western Colorado.
