And Ty Morton (126) was 2-3 to place sixth. Morton defeated Taylor McCabe of Paonia and Travis Leger of Hotchkiss to advance, then fell in the consolation round to seventh-ranked Ben Pridy of Olathe in a third-round pin.

In the upper weights, Garrett Humble (195) pinned Delta's Alejandro Medina at the second-round buzzer, then handily defeated Olmer Marquez of Basalt in 34 seconds to place third. After losing to Daniel Gustavson of Durango in his opening match, freshman Mario Madaleno won his next four matches, defeating Victor Perez, 10-7, to place third.
