Cedaredge High School split a baseball double-header played with Olathe's Pirates on Saturday, March 30. Game one went to Olathe, 6-4, and game two was a 16-5 win for the Bruins.

Olathe eased to the front early in this game with a single run in the first inning and three more in the bottom of the second.
The Bruins got their first run in the top half of the second inning.
Each team scored once in the third before Cedaredge plated two runs in the fifth to make the game score 5-4 with Olathe coming to bat in the bottom of the inning. The Pirates added one run to their total to make the final score 6-4.
Eli Underwood's lone hit in four at bats was a triple and it produced the Bruin's only RBI. Four other Bruins had singles in the game.
Cedaredge's Trent Walker took the loss.
Bruins 16, Pirates 5
The Bruins got off to another slow start in game two and trailed 2-1 at the end of the second inning. Things changed after that with Cedaredge erupting for five runs in the top of the third and four more in the fourth. The Bruin defense held Olathe scoreless in those two innings and led 10-2 going to the fifth.
Each team scored twice in the fifth inning. The Bruins extended their lead by four runs in the sixth while holding the Pirates to just one run to make the final score 16-5.
Cedaredge scored its 16 runs on 18 hits with no Olathe errors. Olathe's runs came on eight hits and no errors.
Aaron Henrie found a bat he liked and used it to pound five hits in five at bats for the Bruins, including three doubles and three RBIs.
Walker had a double and triple for the Bruins with three RBIs as well. Six other Bruins had two hits apiece in the five-inning rout.
Tylor Beach got the win on the mound for Cedaredge.
