Cedaredge boys split weekend cage battles

Cedaredge came back from an early deficit to win 56-49.With half of its league schedule left to play, Cedaredge High School boys' basketball coach, Kevin Dunbar, remains confident his Bruins will be in the hunt when the right time comes. Cedaredge hosted two 3A league foes, Roaring Fork and Olathe this past week.

Bruin girls play well but lose to Roaring Fork five

The visiting Lady Pirates built a big lead early but had to hold on for a 44-35 3A WSL win.Joe Berger is wondering how his Lady Bruins' basketball team can play so well one game and then look as though they had fogotten how to play the same way in another game.

Last Friday night's ballgame against Roaring Fork was played in Cedaredge and the Lady Bruins played "great" according to Berger.

Bruin matmen place 3rd

The Bruins placed seven wrestlers and scored 119 points to place fourth at the 51st annual Rob Mickel tournament, held Saturday at Salida High School.

Freshman 106-pounder Austin Todd pinned his way to the championship round, knocking off sixth-ranked Talon Harris of Norwood with an 11-2 win for the championship.
