Sullivan, Zamarripa win title

c06 chstenPhoto by Tamie Meck 1D player Katie O’Hern of Cedaredge (partners with Abbey Burgett) returns a shot against Hotchkiss’ Jessie Violett and Lexey Padilla in round one play of the Delta Invitational played last Friday and Saturday. Hotchkiss won 8-3.The Cedaredge Lady Bruins tennis team struck gold last week in the Delta County Invitational Tennis Tournament. It's been awhile since Cedaredge has placed in the top three at the tournament, but this year's 3 doubles team managed to not only make it to the finals, but win the title as well.

Cedaredge netters split tennis matches

The Cedaredge High School tennis team played two matches early last week. On Monday (April 1), Cedaredge hosted Fruita Monument's junior varsity in Delta and lost 5-2 to the young Wildcats.

Cedaredge tests new singles lineup against Paonia

Hulteen moved up to singles last week after Cedaredge lost a senior singles player.When Cedaredge tennis coach Don McFadden lost his 2 singles player recently, he didn't have to look far for a worthy replacement. Sierra McHugh will finish the season in the No. 2 spot.

Gates sets two records at Woodburn Invite

Reid Gates claimed two wins and two meet records at Saturday's Frank Woodburn Invitational. Gates cleared 6 feet, 8 inches to win the high jump, and soared 21 feet, 9.25 inches to win the long jump.
