The Cedaredge High School tennis team played two matches early last week. On Monday (April 1), Cedaredge hosted Fruita Monument's junior varsity in Delta and lost 5-2 to the young Wildcats.

Cedaredge tests new singles lineup against Paonia

Hulteen moved up to singles last week after Cedaredge lost a senior singles player.When Cedaredge tennis coach Don McFadden lost his 2 singles player recently, he didn't have to look far for a worthy replacement. Sierra McHugh will finish the season in the No. 2 spot.

Gates sets two records at Woodburn Invite

Reid Gates claimed two wins and two meet records at Saturday's Frank Woodburn Invitational. Gates cleared 6 feet, 8 inches to win the high jump, and soared 21 feet, 9.25 inches to win the long jump.

Bruins come back to win 10-7 over Paonia

Paonia was leading 6-1 before the Bruins tied the game at 6-6 in the bottom of the second and then went on for a 10-7 non-conference win.Last Tuesday's baseball matchup between Paonia and Cedaredge was billed as a good game to watch. As it turned out, it was a great game.
