In their last regular-season basketball game, the Cedaredge Bruins came out too slow against the Roaring Fork Rams in Carbondale. The sluggish start cost the Bruins a 60-42 loss.

Bruins face early-round losses at state

Todd, seeded second at 106, lost by decision to Garcia, who went undefeated to claim the title.Cedaredge 106-pounder Austin Todd was the Bruins' best hope for a medal. But Todd, who entered the tournament as the defending 3A Region 1 champion and seeded second, was one of three wrestlers upset by No. 10 seeded junior, Diondre Garcia of Monte Vista, on his way to his first state title.

Cedaredge girls wind down regular season with losses

The Lady Bruins fell to 6-9 in league play and are 7-11 overall in the 3A WSL with losses to Grand Valley (59-47) and Moffat County (62-35).

League leader Moffat County is 14-1 and 15-3 with Olathe in second place at 12-3 and 14-4.

Bruin boys’ hoop team wants wins

c07 chsbbbPhoto by Wayne Crick Cedaredge’s Trent Walker ran out of driving room against Coal Ridge a couple of weeks ago. His aggressive style of play cost him a foul. Cedaredge dropped a pair of 3A WSL games this past week with losses to Grand Valley and Moffat County.The Bruin boys' basketball team stubbed its toes in 3A WSL play this past week. Cedaredge fell to Grand Valley, 48-38, on Tuesday (Feb. 12) and played one of its better games of the season against Moffat County on Friday but fell 69-59.
