Winning season, playoff wins no surprise to Bruins seniors

Here, Cade (10) blocks for his brother Carter, during an end-around run in Saturday’s playoff game against Monte Vista.That Cedaredge was undefeated to claim the 1A Western Slope football conference and make the playoffs for the first time in 10 years was no accident. Nor was it a matter of dropping from class 2A to 1A, which it did at the start of this season.

Cedaredge romps 55-14

Quarterback Dante Markley holds the ball in the stomach of his fullback Carter Wasser against number 14 Centauri on Saturday. Markley and Wasser were proverbial thorns in the sides of the Falcons all day long in their Class 1A State Football Championship contest. The Bruins proved to be too much for Centauri and outscored them 41-8 in the second half for a 55-14 win.It's been 10 years or better since Cedaredge High School's football team has been in the playoffs. After winning the 1A WSL with a perfect record in league play, the Bruins are definitely showing they belong in post-season play.
