Delta High School's wrestlers upped their season dual record to 19-2 for the season with a trio of wins this past week.
The Panthers faced Hotchkiss on Wednesday (Feb. 5) resulting in a 64-18 win.
On Thursday, the Panthers traveled to Gunnison and wrestled to a 71-6 win. Friday's match in Palisade was a 53-20 win.
Delta 64, Hotchkiss 18
The Panthers recorded four falls, two technical falls and five forfeits on their way to a 64-18 non-conference win at home.
Hotchkiss picked up pin-fall wins at 106 (Jake Hubbell - 1:47) and 145 (Wade Katzdorn - 0:48). The Bulldogs' third victory was a forfeit win by Garrett Toothaker at 113.
Delta's wins by fall came at 120 (Hayes McCracken - 1:33), 132 (Tylon Cordova - 3:49, 145 (Shaun Staats - 0:48), 152 (Derek Horn - 0:57) and Marcus Garcia at 285 in a time of 1:00.
Technical falls went to Delta's David Brown at 126 (18-3 - 2:00) and Daryan Urquhart at 38 with a score of 16-1 at 4:00.
Forfeit wins were awarded to Delta wrestlers Daniel Brown (160), Kory Mills (170), Cordell Stroud (182), Livan Santander (195) and Alejandro Medina (220).
DHS 71, Gunnison 6
The Panthers won seven matches by way of forfeit (132, 145, 160, 170, 182, 195, 220, and 285).
Luke Anderson won his 106-pound match with a technical fall over Gunnison's Dave Johnson, 17-0.
There was no match at 113 and Gunnison's Justin O'Dell scored the Cowboys' six points with a forfeit at 120.
David Brown won by fall at 126 (3:25) as did Urquhart at 145 (2:57). Horn also picked up a fall at 152 in a time of 3:38.
Delta 53, PHS 20
Delta lost matches at 106 (fall - Anderson) and 113 (Kavan Trujillo) by a 9-8 decision.
McCracken won an 11-6 decision at 120 and David Brown scored a major decision (15-1) at 126.
Palisade's Dalton Hannigan (132) stopped Cordova with a 15-0 technical fall at 4:00 and Trevor Garcia defeated Staats in the 145-pound match with a fall at 3:25.
At 138, Urquhart's pin over Quinton Day added six more points to Delta's efforts.
The Panthers won all matches from 152 through the 285-pound divisions. Horn (152) had a FallSV and Medina posted a major decision (10-1) in the 220-pound bout with the remainder being falls.
