Delta sloshes to 32-7 win

Delta High School enjoyed a successful homecoming week and celebrated with a big 32-7 win over the cellar-dwelling Battle Mountain's Huskies (0-5 and 0-7) last Friday night.

Delta is hoping the next few weeks of play in the tough 3A WSL will be kind to them as they play for post-season positioning.

Delta splits softball DH

Delta first baseman Bry Music wowed the crowd last week with this over the shoulder catch of a foul ball that was hit by an Eagle Valley player. Delta split a doubleheader with the Lady Devils and finished the year at 2-4 and 7-11 overall.
Delta had just one softball game scheduled for this past week, but a rained out game in Gypsum after one inning was resumed in Delta as a doubleheader format on Friday (Oct. 5). The Panthers eventually lost that game 11-10 but won the second contest 8-2.

Delta gridders win 48-20

The collective sigh from the Panther fans quickly turned to cheers as they watched the ball sail through the hands of Glenwood Springs defender and into the arms of a soaring Chris Black (2). Delta was in Cortez last week and recorded a 48-20 win.
Delta's Panthers made the trip south to Cortez for a football battle of the cats. Delta was the more aggressive, and productive, as they improved their season records to 3-1 in league and 4-2 overall with a 48-20 win.
