Local thinclads finish high

b05 dhsgtrPhoto by Wayne Crick Delta senior Callie Gafford clears an early height in the high jump during competition at last week’s Delta Invitational Track Meet. Gafford cleared 4-11 to win the event and help her Lady Panthers win the team title with 137.5 points.The first major track meet in which team scores were kept was a successful event for the Lady Panthers of Delta. Delta outdistanced a 13-team field to score 137.5 points to win going away.

Lady Panthers fall to Palisade in soccer

c07 dhssocPhoto by Wayne Crick Cedaredge’s Kristen Gardner (15) and Alyssa Isaman (21) were in the thick of the battle against Palisade in last week’s soccer match at Delta Middle School. Isaman was responsible for the Lady Panthers’ lone goal at the 10-minute mark of the first half. Delta and Palisade were tied at one apiece at halftime. The Lady Bulldogs went on to score a 3-1 win in 4A WSL play.Delta's Lady Panthers were on the board first with Alyssa Isaman's goal near the 10 minute mark of the first half. Palisade's Audrey Rose Kachin tied the score just a minute later and the two teams went to halftime tied at 1-1.

The Delta Middle School eighth grade girls’ basketball team
