Lady Eagles on seven-game winning streak

Over the weekend, the Lady Eagles defeated West Grand (4-7, 0-4) 82-32 on Friday, then defeated North Park, 65-15, on Saturday.

Paonia wins 16-team Screaming Eagle title

Coats lost to No. 1 seed Wyatt Wade of Dolores to place second. Paonia earned five championships and 270 points to win the annual tournament.The 24th annual Screaming Eagle wrestling tournament was a who's who of top wrestlers from the Western Slope and beyond, all looking for some tough competition as the regional and state tournaments approach. They came from as close as Cedaredge and as far away as Center, Sargent, Ignacio and Custer County.

Eagle boys open WSL 2A with 1-point losses

Screaming Eagle, dual action set for PHS

The 24th annual Screaming Eagle wrestling tournament happens this Saturday at Paonia High School.

Roughly 14 varsity and junior varsity teams will be represented at this year's tournament.

Lady Eagles win big in league-opening games

Paonia plays at West Grand High School Friday and at North Park Saturday. Paonia’s next home game is Feb. 1 against Vail Christian.The Lady Eagles upped their record to 8-3 overall, 2-0 in the 2A Western Slope conference with wins over Soroco and Hayden.

Guard Braiden Clement made two three-pointers for a game-high 16 points in Paonia's 74-36 win Friday at Soroco (7-3, 0-2).
