Cedaredge Ladies play club tournament

Nancy Sturgill fired a two-day 164 to win the Cedaredge Ladies’ Golf Club Championship on Sept. 8 and Sept. 11.
The Cedaredge Ladies' Golf Club held its annual two-day club championship on Saturday, Sept. 8, and Tuesday, Sept. 11.

First flight winners included this year's First Gross and club champion Nancy Sturgill with a two-day score of 164. Second Gross went to Barbara Murphy.

Hotchkiss girl wins title

osie Hiatt recently placed first in a Rockies Skills Challenge competition. She poses with special friends in the above photo.
Josie Hiatt, of Hotchkiss and the daughter of Ty and Dana Hiatt, recently won first place honors at the state Rockies Skills Challenge in Grand Junction.

Hiatt scored a perfect 15 out of 15 in the competition and advanced to regional competition at the Coca-Cola All Star Park in Lakewood on Aug. 18.

Tunget gymnasts compete

The Tunget Gymnastics Gym recently competed in state competition. The optional gymnasts competed June 16 and 17 at Adrenaline Gymnastics in Centennial and the level three and four teams competed in Colorado Springs June 23 and 24.

Hotchkiss pair excel in Utah

Chase and Josie Hiatt, the son and daughter of Ty and Dana Hiatt of Hotchkiss, attended the Brigham Young University 12 and 13-year old baseball camp in Provo, UT. at Miller Park.

The pair of youngsters enjoyed a week long camp and received pitching, catching, batting, base running and outfield play tips from BYU's baseball and softball coaches and the Cougar players.
