Colorado State University Extension along with the Department of Agriculture will be hosting a day-long Tools for Improving On-Farm Food Safety-Grower Workshop on Wednesday, March 12, at the Montrose County Fairgrounds and Event Center.
This workshop is designed for growers wanting to develop strategies for managing food safety on their farms.
Session topics include food safety regulatory updates, harvest and post-harvest operations, irrigation water management and water sampling, traceability and recall concerns, and how to prepare for an on-farm food safety audit.
Time is 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Cost is $45 and includes materials, lunch and certificate of completion.
